Calvin Dale Rutherford
Calvin Dale Rutherford age 84 of May, Texas passed away at his residence on May 12, 2017 with his loving family by his side.
Calvin was born December 29, 1932 in Tulia, Texas to Andrew and Myrtle Rutherford. He met his devoted wife of 62 years Glenda Fae Reynolds and married on December 17, 1955. Calvin was a retired truck driver of 50 years after leaving the United States Air Force in 1953. He enjoyed his time woodworking and was a devoted man that served Jesus, he loved the Lord and was always singing Hymns. He was a Baptist Deacon for 40 Years and was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Brown County.
He is Survives by his wife, and one son; Micky Rutherford and wife Cookie, and one daughter; Cheryl Browne and husband Randy, one sister; Mary Anita Boyd and six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers; Kenneth and Delmus Rutherford.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Thursday May 18, 2017 at Pleasant Grove Church in Holder, Texas with internment to follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Brown County. Visitation will be 6-8PM Wednesday May 17, 2017 at Heartland Funeral Home in Early, Texas.
