Brown County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Vance Hill received approval to promote deputy Scott Byrd to Criminal Investigation Division Sergeant at Monday’s meeting of the Brown County Commissioners’ Court.
Byrd was promoted to this position, replacing James Stroope who has been promoted to BSCO Captain. He will receive a $200/month raise with this promotion.
Byrd has 17 years in law enforcement, of which 13 have been with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office.
