The United States Hispanic Leadership Institute will host the 8th Annual Central Texas Career & College Recruitment Fair on Friday, March 22nd, 2013 from 9am-1pm at Coggin Avenue Baptist Church and registration is underway for businesses and employers to participate in the event.
Organizers state that approximately 1,000 high school students from Brown County and beyond will be present at the event, making this a good time for businesses and employers to visit with students about career opportunities within their organizations.
In planning for college and careers, students are faced with many choices. Organizers of the event have focused on this and strive to provide valuable career and higher education information to students to aid their decision making process. By bringing college, business and employment opportunities to the students, organizers strive to make this a well-rounded event, making a connection between schools and employment.
The event is styled similar to a job fair with tables set up in the fellowship hall of the Coggin Avenue Baptist Church’s Connection Center. Organizers state that students will have the opportunity to visit with employers, schools and organizations to help prepare them for the rest of their lives, to be able to make informed decisions, and to become contributing citizens of society.Organizations and businesses interested in registering for a booth at the Central Texas Career and College Recruitment Fair are asked to register online by Wednesday, March 20th.
