SavageBufordBuford Savage, 86, of Georgetown Texas, passed away Thursday April 16, 2015 at his residence in Georgetown. A private burial, under the directions of Netherton Funeral Home, will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 17th at the Greenleaf Cemetery in Brownwood, TX. A family visitation will be held 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. prior to the graveside ceremonies

Buford was born August 1, 1927, in Talco County Texas, near Mt. Pleasant, to Rub and Lula Mae (Hudson) Savage. He attended school in Talco County beginning work in the oil fields. He later worked on farms working in the fields taking care of cotton. Buford’s last work years were as a sanitation laborer for the City of Brownwood. He was a hard worker and greatly enjoyed his home life.

Buford is survived by two sisters, Bobbie Crosby of Bangs, TX, Gloria Craddock of Georgetown, TX, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and four brothers.
