Texas Teenage Baseball Association state tournaments continue this week in the TTAB 14U and TTAB 8U Player Pitch games taking place in Brownwood and Early.

The Brownwood Yankees were eliminated on Wednesday evening in the TTAB 14U state tournament taking place at the Massey Sports Complex in Brownwood with a 13-3 defeat by the Riesel Indians.   The Riesel Indians went on to be defeated by Bullard.   The winner of Thursday morning’s game between Bullard and the Edgewood Titans will go on to face the Killeen Orioles for the championship.

Meanwhile in the TTAB 8U Player Pitch state tournament taking place at Early City Park, the two home teams will face off for the second time in the tournament on Thursday.

The Early Cardinals defeated the Eastland Lions with a score of 12-2 on Wednesday and later took a win by forfeit while playing the Cameron Diamondbacks after a player was injured and the team did not have enough players to continue the game.

The Early Diamondbacks suffered their first loss on Wednesday against the Bosqueville Heat with a score of 18-1.  The Cardinals and Diamondbacks will face each for the second time in the tournament at 6pm Thursday at Early City Park.   The winner of that game will go on to play the Bosqueville Heat for the championship Thursday night.
