According to Brownwood Police Department, 42 year old Pamela Sue Belveal was arrested last night and charged with murder.
Sgt Troy Carroll of the Brownwood PD said that police responded to a call at 7:57pm last night at a residence in the 2000 block of Avenue B. A man was reported to have been run over by a 1993 Dodge Pickup.
Sgt Carroll said that the 46 year old victim was apparently sitting in the backyard of the residence and Belveal allegedly entered the backyard though an alley parking area, observed the victim sitting in the the backyard & ran over him with a pickup truck killing him.
Belveal appeared to be intoxicated and police observed alcohol in the vehicle.
Belveal was arrested at the scene and is being held at the Brown County Jail charged with murder and a bond set at $500,000.
Police said that both Belveal and the victim reported the same physical address. The victim’s name is not being released pending notification to next of kin.
Police are continuing their investigation.
