The TTAB Junior Boys State Tournament continues with a big win for the Brownwood White Sox earlier today.
The Brownwood White Sox faced the Colorado City Nationals this morning as the only two undefeated teams left in the tournament. Colorado City gave the other home team, the Brownwood Rockies their first defeat on Wednesday. The White Sox however were a much tougher match.
At the end of the 7th inning the score between the Sox and Nationals was tied 5-5 which set up extra innings. It took 2 extra innings for Brownwood to score two more runs and hold Colorado City. The Brownwood White Sox take the win in a 7-5 final score.
This guarantees Brownwood at least second place as they wait for two more losing bracket games to be held today. The Brownwood White Sox are set to play again tonight around 9pm at the BHS field. If Brownwood wins, they will be champions, but if they lose this game they will have to play one final game due to the rules of the double elimination tournament.
