The United Parcel Service offices and service center located at 1506 Custer Road in Brownwood was destroyed by an overnight fire according to UPS officials.
The Brownwood Fire Department is currently investigating the cause of the fire that destroyed the entire building and damaged several delivery trucks.
UPS District Manager David Goren said that the building was a total loss, but no one was injured and there were no packages inside the building during the time of the fire. He also indicated that deliveries will continue as usual.
“We are in the process of figuring out the details of delivery,” Goren said. “We will most likely be using the resources of surrounding areas.”
Goren stated that they are waiting for the Brownwood Fire Department to issue a report on the fire before they will release any further details.
