Due to the replacement of the railroad crossing signal in the 3700 block of US Hwy 377 in Brownwood at the Texas Rock Crusher railroad tracks, Brownwood drivers may see come traffic congestion and road delays possible on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

According to Brownwood Assistant Chief of Police James Fuller, the installation by Railroad Signal International will require the use of a crane which will be set up on the highway.

“Traffic will be routed to one half of the roadway then moved to the other side in order to change the other signal,” explained Fuller in a press release.  “Traffic cones and barricades will be used to divert traffic throughout this designated time.”

Motorists are reminded to drive with care and plan on delays as the new signals are installed between Coggin Avenue and Crockett Drive.
