Brownwood Takes Top at Bluebonnet Relays

In anticipation of the cold, windy, and wet weather predicted for Saturday, the normally two day Bluebonnet Relays was condensed into one day on Friday.

More than 1100 high school athletes participated in this massive annual event hosted at Gordon Wood Stadium.  The track meet kicked off at 11am Friday and finished up after 9:30pm that evening.

Despite the condensed format of events, it was good news for Brownwood with the boys and girls track teams each taking the overall top spot in the 3A division.
