Brownwood’s Cameron McLaughlin will be heading to the state cross country meet in Round Rock on November 12 after qualifying in Saturday’s Region I-3A meet in Lubbock.
McLaughlin came in 9th place overall with a time of 16:46.62. The Brownwood Lions cross country team finished in 6th place during the meet.
The Brownwood Lady Lions finished in 5th place as a team during the meet. The Lady Lions were led by Caitlyn Haynes who finished 11th overall with a time of 12:45.97 which was less than 4 seconds short of making the top ten and qualifying for state.
