The Brownwood Reunion Celebration once again highlighted heroes who serve the community at the “Honor a Hero Parade” Saturday, September 15th during the city-wide festival.
Children and parents entered the free parade and were asked to dress in red, white and blue to honor both past and present members of the military and heroes such as friends, firemen, policemen, and EMTs.
Brownwood Fire Marshal Buddy Preston and arson dog Nika led this year’s hero parade and were followed by the Brownwood High School drum line.
The parade has become a Reunion tradition for the last several years.
