The winners for the Barbecue Contest sponsored by Lone Star Beer, at the Brownwood Reunion were announced on Saturday afternoon. The categories for judging were beans/other, chicken, ribs, and brisket. The first through tenth place winners in each category, along with the Grand Champion and Reserve were awarded. Judy Kenny was the head judge for the competition.
The first, second and third place winners in each category received a plaque, and the first place winners also received a hunting seat from Lone Star Beer Distributors. The Grand Champion also received a ‘Brown County Bragging Rights’ plaque.
