The annual 10K/5K Run and 1.5 Mile Walk kicked off events for the second day of the Brownwood Reunion Celebration on Saturday. Runners for the 10K started around 7:30 AM Saturday morning followed soon after by the 5K runners and then the walkers.
Almost 500 runners completed the races this year with additional entries in the 1.5 mile walk.
The top female runner in the 10K was Rebecca Trump with a time of 43:05.3. The top male runner in the 10K was Dylan Person with a time of 36:21.0.
The top female 5K runner this year was Brynn Stewart of Brady with a time of 20:41.6. The top 5K male runner was Jacob Nava with a time of 17:19.1.
The top boys 5K and girls 5K team awards each went to Bangs cross country teams. Kohler’s team B won the overall 5K award and Kohler team F won the overall 10K.
