Brownwood residents helped Texas break Germany’s record of 1804 set in 2007, for “largest guitar ensemble” with 1859 registered guitar players.
Terry Bullion, Tim Bullion, Jason Gibbs, Scott Lindsey, Michael Pitts, and Ty Earp made a road trip from Brownwood to participate in the Guinness Book of World Records recognized attempt.
On Sunday August 23rd, over 5,000 people gathered in Luckenbach Texas and experienced the camaraderie that guitar players have always shared but non-players had never heard of.
The event benefited Veterans With Traumatic Brain Injuries and was organized by voicesofagratefulnation.org
The MC for the event received a thunderous yell of approval when she asked the crowd “if our record gets beaten, will everyone come back and bring a friend?”
