Brownwood Regional Medical Center (BRMC) will welcome three new Board of Trustee members at its January 2011 regular meeting; the new trustees are Dr. Tim Moore, Brownwood Cardiology, Dr. Stephen Oines, Heart of Texas Internal Medicine, and Mr. J. Fred Perry retired businessman and community leader. All three trustees are eligible to serve two, three year terms on behalf of the Brownwood Regional Medical Center Board of Trustees.
Born in Bangs, Texas; Mr. J. Fred Perry is married to Margaret Perry and a member of Austin Avenue Church of Christ. Mr. Perry currently serves on the Board of Directors of Citizens National Bank of Brownwood and is involved in numerous civic causes including the Brownwood Kiwanis Club. He has served as the Director and former Chairman of the Brownwood Economic Development Corporation; as well as Director and former Chairman of the Cherokee Home for Children.
Dr. Tim Moore, Brownwood Cardiology, is married to Mandi Moore and has two young children. The Moore’s are members of Coggin Avenue Baptist Church. Dr. Tim Moore is the son of Dr. Richard Moore and is a lifetime resident to Brownwood, Texas. Dr. Tim Moore completed his cardiology fellowship at Baylor Health Care System in Dallas and returned to practice in Brownwood in cardiology. Dr. Moore served as BRMC Chief of Staff in 2010.
Dr. Stephen Oines, Heart of Texas Internal Medicine, is married to Lynette Oines and they have three children. The Oines’s are members of the First United Methodist Church of Brownwood. Dr. Oines has practiced as an internist at Brownwood Regional Medical Center since July of 1995. He is board certified and completed his residency in Temple, Texas at Scott & White Medical Center. During his tenure at Brownwood Regional Medical Center, Dr. Oines has served in numerous leadership positions, including 2005 BRMC Chief of Staff, and is currently the Medical Director of the Intensive Care Unit.
The Board of Trustees also appointed officers for 2011; returning as Chairman, Mr. Robert Porter, Vice Chairman, Dr. Michael Neel, and Secretary, Mr. Matt Maxfield. Other members of the 2011 Board of Trustees include: Dr. Marlen Strefling, Dr. Rance Boren, Dr. Steve Nichols, Mrs. Sue Jones, Mr. Tom Munson and Mr. Robert Lindsey. Retiring from the Board this year are Dr. David Morales, Dr. Martin Belli and Mr. Stuart Coleman.
