Brownwood News – (contributed) Brownwood Regional Medical Center (BRMC) would like to congratulate the recent graduates of Ranger College School of Nursing RN Program and Tarleton State University. BRMC is very fortunate to have had seven employees graduate the RN program. There were six from Ranger RN program and one from the Tarleton State University RN program. The group persevered through the strenuous curriculum all while working at BRMC. We want to recognize their efforts to not only fulfill their dreams but continue to provide quality care to our patients.
Seeking to continue education in a demanding field that requires compassion and a high intensity quality of care can be very stressful. It requires a unique individual to become a nurse. We are proud to recognize: Brooke Brand, Nurse Tech on Medical Telemetry Unit; Susan Isom, Sitter for patients and families in need; Tana Still, Registration Clerk; Erin Williams, LVN, in Surgical Services; Sheila Walters, LVN, in Cardiac Rehab, Tamatha Brown, LVN on the Medical Telemetry Unit; and Cindy Stephens from the Emergency Department.
Other recognitions provided by Ranger College School of Nursing includes: Tamatha Brown, LVN, who was recognized for a 3.9 cumulative GPA and was given the Community Service Award. Tamatha volunteers her time serving on Community Boards such as Bangs Black History Committee, Brownwood Annual Christmas Parade and Harvest Family Life.
Brooke Brand was recognized by Ranger College School of Nursing for being chosen for the Leadership Award. Brook was voted on by peers and was described as, “one who goes above and beyond for others.”
“We are pleased to have these ladies continue the tradition of quality care here at Brownwood Regional Medical Center. Not only have they enhanced their skills but have chosen to remain a part of the BRMC family. They are truly valued for their service to our patients and community,” said Jace Jones, Chief Executive Officer at Brownwood Regional Medical Center. Jones went on to say, “Seeing our BRMC employees continue their education and enhance their knowledge brings great pride to BRMC. Those actions demonstrate commitment and loyalty to our patients who are friends and family.”
