Brownwood News – Patients will not be allowed visitors at Brownwood Regional Medical Center effective Tuesday, March 24. In a statement released Tuesday afternoon, BRMC outlines the restrictive changes to visitor and access policy.

All BRMC Entrances will be closed to visitors and Emergency Room access will be given to Emergency Patients only.

Everyone who enters the Emergency Room entrance will be screened.

RESTRICTIVE VISITOR AND PATIENT ACCESS:

BRMC is CLOSED to ALL Visitors

One essential,  symptom free caregiver is restricted to the following circumstances:

Ø  Delivering a baby

Ø  A minor (Essential caregiver must be a parent or legal guardian)

Ø  A person with disabilities

Ø  A person who requires assistance in order to maintain safety

For patient comfort, we will have a liaison staff member visiting all patients. We are currently working toward an alternative virtual visit with patient families.

Thank you for your continued support as we protect the safety and well-being of our care team and all patients in our care.
