Brownwood Regional Medical Center announced today that Chip Camp has been appointed chief executive officer and will begin his new position on July 11.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to join the dedicated board members, employees, medical staff and volunteers at Brownwood Regional Medical Center,” said Camp. “I look forward to building on their many accomplishments and being a part of their future success as well as an integral part of the community.”
Camp brings 18 years of chief executive officer experience to the hospital and several years of clinical experience. Most recently, he served as CEO at Harris Hospital in Newport, Ark. During his time there, Camp worked to expand medical services, recruit physicians, and enhance the hospital’s reputation by focusing on quality and customer service.
“Chip is an accomplished healthcare leader and we are pleased to welcome him to Brownwood,” said Robert Porter, Brownwood Regional Medical Center chairman of the board. “I was impressed with his experience and believe he will be a great fit for our hospital and community.”
Camp received his master’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of Alabama and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
