Three men escaped injury Sunday evening after someone fired shots at their vehicle causing the passenger window to shatter.

The Brownwood Police report of the incident states that three men were driving their vehicle near Bailey Street when they noticed a Chevy Tahoe following them.   The suspect vehicle followed the men for a while and then it pulled behind Depot Liquor Store on Vine Street the report states.

The victims told police that they turned around to investigate who was following them by passing the store.  As they passed the store; the men heard three gunshots and the driver side back window shattered.   The men saw the shooter standing beside the Tahoe holding an unidentified handgun the police report states.  The victims reported that they did not stop and drove to Kroger to call police.

Brownwood police are still investigating the incident.

*Saturday, April 24, 12:40am – Police were called to the 1900 block of Austin Avenue with a report of a hit and run.  Witnesses told police that a vehicle had crashed into one of the brick and rock entrance columns located at the corner of Avenue K and Elizabeth.   The police report states that extensive damage was found to the column as is caused it to break at the base and pushing it backwards from the force of the accident.   The suspect vehicle was found abandoned in the parking lot of the Coldwell Banker office on Austin Avenue.   The car was impounded and the driver will face multiple charges based on witness reports and items found in the vehicle the police report indicates.

*Saturday, April 24, 2:09am – Police responded to Brownwood Regional Medical Center where a man told police that he was given a ride by some men near the intersection of Coggin and Durham.  The men asked the victim if he wanted to buy some marijuana.  When the victim declined, the men pushed him out of the moving vehicle.  He was treated at Brownwood Regional Medical Center for minor injuries.

*Saturday, April 24, 3:14am – Brownwood Police responded to Brownwood Regional Medical Center where a man reported that he was assaulted my some men in the 1300 block of 13th Street during a dice game.

*Sunday, April 25, 3:38pm – Police were called to the 1500 block of 4th Street on a report of a man beating on someone’s front door.  Police arrested 20-year-old Roy Maldonado, Jr. for Public Intoxication as a result of the call.

*Sunday, April 25, 6:18pm – Brownwood Police responded to the 500 block of 5th Street with a report of a vehicle crash that was turning into a citizen dispute.  Police arrested 20-year-old Kandice Nicole Carr as a result of the incident.  Police reports state that Carr is accused of intentionally hitting another vehicle because she was upset with one of the occupants.   The police report states that due to the manner Carr drover her vehicle, she was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.  She was also charged with Abandonment/Endangerment of a Child Criminal Negligence since Carr’s 18-month-old child was in the vehicle with her during the incident the police report states.

*Sunday, April 25, 11:54pm – Brownwood Police were called to the 1900 block of Avenue D regarding a domestic disturbance.   At the scene, 18-year-old Destinee Angela Marie Hood was arrested and charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury Family Violence and Interfering with an Emergency Call.
