The following information was compiled from reports from the Brownwood Police Department and Brown County Jail records. All reports are in unrelated incidences.
-Brownwood Police officer Danny Hutchins initiated a traffic stop on Sunday morning on Vine Street. Two arrests were made during this stop. The driver, 21-year-old Brad Lee Anderson, was arrested for possession of marijuana and on outstanding warrants. Police reports state that Anderson was found to have a marijuana pipe in the front of his pants and was also in possession of a bag of marijuana. Also arrested was 21-year-old Dustin Duffy for possession of marijuana. Police reports allege that Duffy was in possession of a marijuana pipe and a bag of marijuana as well.
-Police responded to a verbal domestic disturbance call in the Villa apartments on Hwy 377 S. Friday night. No arrest was made on the initial call, but this led to the arrest of 18-year-old Travis Joseph Lawson for possession of marijuana. Police reports indicate that Lawson allegedly was in the apartment and had possession of wooden box which contained marijuana.
-Brownwood Police responded to a possible shoplifting call on Friday at Hastings. Police allege that Nicholas Andrew Ewen, 29, of Brownwood, removed DVD’s from the plastic case in an attempt to steal them. He was charged with fraudulent destruction for removing the packaging of the products in the store according to police. He was released over the weekend on $2500 bond.
-Police arrested 46-year-old Anita Marie Valdez on Friday for assault family violence.
-Police arrested Justin Neil Wallace for criminal trespass at an apartment in the 1600 block of Good Shepherd early Friday morning.
-Police arrested 21-year-old Tyler Lee Adams for public intoxication at Wayside Apartments over the weekend.
-Stephen Sean Atkins, 46, was arrested for public intoxication Saturday night in the 1500 block of Terrace
