CREDIT CARD OR DEBIT CARD ABUSE – On Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at approximately 3:32 PM, BPD spoke to complainant in reference to an online scam. 911-operators advised that she wanted to speak with BPD, by way of phone.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE / THEFT OF A FIREARM – On May 24, 2019 at 7:11 AM, a Brownwood PD Officer spoke with a victim over the phone regarding a firearm that had been stolen out of his vehicle the previous night. The firearm was entered into the NCIC database as a stolen firearm.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS – On Friday, May 24, 2019, officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Davis Lane for a report of criminal trespassing. When the officers arrived, the subject was no longer on scene, information was gathered from the witnesses and a report was generated.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE / THEFT OF A FIREARM – On May 24, 2019 at 9:01 AM, a Brownwood PD Officer was dispatched to Oakland Drive in reference to a burglary of a vehicle in which a revolver was stolen. The revolver was entered into the NCIC database a stolen firearm. The investigation continues.

TERRORISTIC THREAT – On 5/24/19, at approximately 10:16 AM, BPD was notified by dispatch about a subject needing a phone call from an officer in reference to terroristic threat. A report was generated at the complainant’s request.

THEFT OF FIREARM – FROM MOTOR VEHICLE – On Friday May 24, 2019 officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Sharon Street for a report of a vehicle burglary and theft of firearm. Information was gathered from the scene and a report was generated.

CREDIT CARD OR DEBIT CARD ABUSE – While on patrol, investigation was conducted when the complainant called about credit/debit card abuse. The fraudulent charges happened at multiple locations but the complainant believes her wallet was stolen at the 300 block of N. Main Street. A report was made for Theft of Property and Credit/ Debit Card Abuse.

AGG ROBBERY – On Tuesday, May 25, 2019, Officers responded to 3801 4h Street in reference to a robbery. After speaking to the complainant, and processing the scene, a report was generated. One juvenile later arrested for offense.

ASSAULT CAUSES BODILY INJ – On Saturday, May 25, 2019, Officers responded to 315 E. Commerce (Dollar General) in reference to a male that was pulled out of a vehicle and assaulted. After speaking to the male, he was transported to BRMC. A report was generated.

DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED – On Sunday, May 26, 2019, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of E. Commerce Street. After an investigation, the male driver of the vehicle was taken into custody, and transported to BRMC for a blood draw. After the blood draw was complete the, driver was transported to Brown County jail for driving while intoxicated.

THEFT PROP >=$100<$750 – On Sunday May 26, 2019 at approximately 4:49 PM, Contact with complainant was done by phone for possible Theft. He had no information to provide, but a report was filed at his request.

DUTY ON STRIKING UNATTENDED VEHICLE – On 05/26/19, Brownwood PD was dispatched to a north Brownwood address in regards to a hit and run that occurred. This call resulted in a report being generated.

BURGLARY OF VEHICLE – On Monday, May 27, 2019, Officers responded to 4306 Danhil Drive in reference to a vehicle that was broken into. After speaking with the driver and the manager, a report was generated.

THEFT PROP <$100 – On Monday, May 27, 2019 Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to a south Brownwood residence for a theft report. Information was gathered and a report has been generated.

POSS MARIJUANA <2 OZ – On Monday, May 27, 2019 at approximately 1:59 AM, Officer Risdon was dispatched to a reckless driver coming into Brownwood on W US 67. Upon arrival located a possible suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. An investigation and an arrest was made.

PUBLIC INTOXICATION – On Monday, May 27, 2019, at approximately 3:53 PM, BPD was dispatched to a South Brownwood residential area in reference to a Welfare Check of a male subject laying in the roadway. Upon my arrival, BPD located the male subject stumbling in the roadway while trying to walk, made contact with the male subject who was later determined to be intoxicated. The male subject was placed under arrest for Public Intoxication.

WEAPON OFFENSE – On 5/27/2019 Brownwood Police responded to multiple calls of shots fired in the 2600 block of 1st Street. An investigation is ongoing.

DEADLY CONDUCT DISCHARGE FIREARM – On May 27th, 2019 at approximately 12:27 AM, Officers, while conducting an investigation heard several shots fired in a very close proximity to their call. After a short investigation John Lee Hester was arrested for Deadly Conduct.
