Wednesday, January 23
- At approximately 3:00 p.m. Brownwood police officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of 15th Street for a call of an assault. Police made contact with the victim. Police arrested one suspect for assault family violence.
Friday, January 25
- At approximately 4:30 p.m. Officers with the Brownwood Police Department were called in reference to a Burglary of A Building in the 1400 block of Waco. A report has been generated for this incident.
- At approximately 9:55 p.m. Brownwood Police Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 1300 block of Belle Plain Street. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 ounces .
- At approximately 10:21 p.m. BPD Officers were dispatched to a south Brownwood address regarding a juvenile disturbance. Upon arrival an investigation and a report were completed.
Saturday, January 26
- At approximately 7:46 p.m. an officer was dispatched to a North Brownwood business. While en route, dispatch advised that the suspects had fled the scene. The officer observed a vehicle matching the description. During this investigation it was discover that both females had active trespass warnings for the local business. Both females were placed under arrest for trespassing. Further investigation discovered some more possible stolen property. An arrest and Incident report were generated and completed.
Sunday, January 27
- Officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of 4th Street for assault family violence. A report was generated.
- At approximately 11:00 a.m. Officers of the Brownwood Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the 300 blk of N Main St. Paraphernalia was located inside the vehicle. The driver was issued a citation and released.
- At approximately 12:58 a.m.an officer was conducting stationary radar in the 1100 Blk Austin Ave. when they observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. After they confirmed the vehicle was traveling well over the posted speed limit with my in car radar system, they initiated my overhead emergency lights and conducted a traffic stop for the traffic violation. As they made a passenger side approach to perform their interview, the officer could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver was asked to exit the vehicle and informed that a probable cause search would be conducted because of the smell of marijuana. During the search a usable amount of marijuana was located. The driver was placed under arrest and charged with Poss. Marijuana< 2oz in a drug free zone. A report was generated and competed.
