Thursday, December 27

  • At 2:00 a.m. officers initiated a pedestrian stop in the 1700 Blk. of Main Blvd. A report was taken for assault family violence.

Sunday, December 30

  • At approximately 1:43 p.m. an officer was dispatched to the 1200 block of US Hwy 67 in reference to a stalled vehicle. They arrived on scene and observed a vehicle high centered over a culvert. An investigation was conducted leading to the arrest of Jerry Neiss for Driving While Intoxicated. A report has been generated.

Monday, December 31

  • A BPD officer was dispatched to an address on the south side of Brownwood, in reference to a sex offender failing to update his current address. Investigation revealed the suspect had not lived at this address since October of 2018. A report has been generated.

Tuesday, January 1

  • At 12:44 a.m. Brownwood Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Highway 377S and Crockett Drive in reference to a one vehicle accident. Upon arrival, no occupants were discovered in the vehicle, but were later located a short distance away. After the driver of the vehicle was medically cleared at BRMC, she was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.
  • At approximately 1:00 p.m. a Brownwood Police Officer were dispatched to the 2400 block of Monterrey for a domestic disturbance call. Police made contact with complainant who stated she had been assaulted by the suspect. The suspect was arrested for assault family violence.
