On 2-22-19 at approximately 2:57 PM, a Brownwood Police officer was dispatched to the police department (1050 W Commerce St) in reference to theft. A victim reported that his debit card was fraudulently used by someone who had obtained his information. An active report was generated.

On Saturday, February 23, 2019, at approximately 12:57 AM, officers were dispatched to a South Brownwood residential area for a suspicious call. Dispatch that there several vehicles in the alley way. Upon arrival to the area, officers observed two (2) vehicles leaving the area. one officer followed one of the vehicles and another officer followed the other vehicle. One vehicle stopped at a local business. officers made consensual contact with the driver who was getting fuel. During this investigation, it was discovered that the passenger was an intoxicated juvenile.  Officers also observed a shotgun sitting next to the passenger. Once the investigation was complete, the passenger was issued a citation for Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor. A report was generated and completed.

On Saturday, February 23, 2019 at approximately 7:39 AM, officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Morris street in reference to a hit and run. They arrived on scene and spoke with the complainant in regards to the incident. A report has been made.

On Saturday, February 23, 2019 at approximately 10:17 AM, an officer was dispatched to the 1600 block of Ave C in reference to theft. Officers arrived on scene and spoke with the complainant in regards to the incident. A report has been made.

On February 23, 2019, a Brownwood Police Officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for expired motor vehicle registration. After an investigation, the driver was arrested for Driving While License Invalid without proof of Financial Responsibility. The driver was also issued citations for Display Fictitious Motor Vehicle Registration, Class C Misdemeanor and Possession Alcoholic Beverage in Motor Vehicle, Class C Misdemeanor. The passenger of the vehicle, was also issued a citation for Possession Alcoholic Beverage in Motor Vehicle, Class C Misdemeanor.

On 2/23/2019 at approximately 8:00 PM, Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to the 2800 block of Southside Drive for a call of criminal mischief. Upon arrival Police made contact with complainant who stated he grandson had hit his girlfriend and then kicked a hole in the wall.The juvenile suspect was taken into custody for a directive to apprehend, criminal mischief and assault family violence.

On 2/24/2019 at approximately 12:00 AM, Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Seventh Street for a burglary of a vehicle call. Police made contact with complainant who advised someone had opened the passenger side of her vehicle and cut some wires. Police made a report for burglary of a vehicle.

On Sunday, February 24, 2019 at approximately 8:00 AM, an officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Center Ave in reference harassment. When the officer arrived on scene they spoke with the involved parties. A report has been generated.

On 2-24-19 at approximately 9:35 AM, a Brownwood Police officer observed a male subject trespassing at a local business. The male had been previously warned, in writing, to stay off of the property. One male subject was arrested for Criminal Trespass and was transported to the Brown Co Jail.

On 2-24-19 at approximately 12:15 PM, a Brownwood Police officer was dispatched to 600 blk of Gifford St in reference to theft of a bicycle. An active report was generated.

On Sunday, February 24, 2019, an officer was dispatched to Riverside Park in reference to a dog on dog attack. The complainant advised an off leash dog had attacked her sisters dog. After investigating the incident and locating the owner of the attacking dog an information report was generated.

On 2-24-19 at approximately 3:20 PM, several Brownwood Police officers were dispatched to 1000 Riverside Dr (Riverside Park) in reference to an assault. A traffic stop was conducted on the suspect vehicle as it fled the scene. During the investigation, male subject was found to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated & arrested for DWI 3rd or more and was transported to the Brown Co Jail.

On Sunday, February 24, 2019, at approximately 10:04 PM, an officer dispatched to a South Brownwood residence in reference to a Civil Matter. While en route, dispatch advised via radio that the complainant stated two (2) unknown subjects were trying to steal one of his vehicles. Upon my arrival, the officer located all parties involved outside the residence. During this investigation it was determined the call was in fact a civil matter. While speaking with all parties involved, the officer was informed that a juvenile male was struck by another subject as they attempted to remove the keys from the vehicle. The officer did not observe any injuries to the juvenile and the juvenile did not state if being struck caused him pain. The juvenile also failed to inform the officer that he had an illness that involved his blood not clotting correctly. The officer was later contacted by the juvenile’s father who stated that he wished to file charges against the person that struck his son. A report was generated and completed.
