Brownwood Police Chief Mike Corley released crime statistics from the police department today for the months of April and May along with year-to-date numbers. Corley said that he will be releasing Brownwood Police Department crime statistics on a monthly basis.
“As I have stated before, I want the Brownwood Police Department to be transparent and accountable to the community we serve,” Corley said. “I believe the release of this information is one part of accomplishing that goal.”
See below for April & May 2010 stats and tables of year-to-date 2010 numbers and 2009 stats of the same time period for comparison. The number reported refers to crimes that were assigned a case number and responded to by police. The number cleared refers to how many cases were closed either by an arrest or after further investigation.
