Brownwood NewsOn Friday, May 24, 2019, the Brownwood Police Department and the Brown County Sheriff’s Office executed a narcotics search/arrest warrant at a north Brownwood residence after an extended investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine.

 

During the execution of the search warrant, over 23 grams of suspected methamphetamine was recovered from the residence.  Along with those suspected controlled substance, officials also recovered materials that were consistent with the distribution of illegal drugs.  Quantities of marihuana, alprazolam, and tramadol/acetaminophen were also recovered during the investigation.

At the conclusion of the investigation, 50yr old Amy Beth Bailey, of Brownwood, was arrested.  Bailey was charged with the Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance in a drug free zone, Possession of a Controlled Substance (alprazolam & tramadol) in a drug free zone, and with the Possession of Marihuana.  The investigation surrounding this incident remains ongoing and more arrests may occur.
