Brownwood Police made two significant drug related arrests over the weekend and released the following information.
On Saturday, November 22, 2014 at approximately 9:30 a.m. members of the Brownwood Police Department Criminal Investigations Division, along with members of the Brown County Sheriff’s Office served a search and arrest warrant in the 300 block of N. Greenleaf.Arrested at the scene was 44-year-old Charles Edward Johnson and 62-year-old Harriett Yvonne Gordon. Johnson and Gordon were arrested for Possession of Marijuana (over 5 lbs) and Money Laundering. Additionally, Johnson was charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.
This arrest is the culmination of an extensive investigation into the distribution and sell of illegal narcotics in the community. The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected.
