Police obtained a search warrant for a residence at the 600 block of 4th St on Wednesday morning resulting in two arrests.

Before executing the warrant, police arrested a man, Joe Bastardo, leaving the home that they had been watching for some time.  Police then executed the search warrant at the home and found 15 grams of methamphetamine in a carport area inside a pair of children’s shorts according to narcotics detective Bruce Spruill of the Brownwood Police Department.  There were also scales and packaging material consistent with the distribution of methamphetamine according to detective Spruill.  Joe Bastardo’s father Victor Bastardo was also arrested at the scene.

 

There were 5-6 children present at the home all under the age of 7 when the search warrant was executed.  The children were released to the care of another relative at a different location.

Police also ceased $1100 in cash, a pickup truck, and a 60 inch television.
