BPDpatchSmallBrownwood Police are investigating a string of burglaries of local restaurants in Brownwood which led to the arrest of a Brownwood man.  The following information was given in a press release by the Brownwood Police Department.

On Wednesday, 10-1-2014, Officers with the Brownwood Police Department, Patrol Division, executed an arrest warrant in the 500 block of E. Commerce.  Officers arrested 32-year-old Kenny Slaughter for Burglary of a Building.

This arrest is the culmination of an investigation into recent burglaries of local restaurants.  On Tuesday, September 30, 2014 Officers responded to the Red Wagon Restaurant (400 block of N. Main) on a report that a burglary had occurred.  The following day, officers responded to The Branding Iron Restaurant (1500 block of Market Place Blvd) and Gomez Restaurant (700 block of W Commerce).

Evidence at the scene of these burglaries led officers to Mr. Slaughter.  The investigation is on-going and more charges are expected.
