A new police officer joined the ranks of the Brownwood Police Department and took oaths at Tuesday’s city council meeting.
Officer Paul Chrisman took the Oath of Office, administered by City Secretary Christi Wynn and the Oath of Honor given by Brownwood Chief of Police Mike Corley.
Chrisman’s wife Gina had the honor of pinning on his BPD badge.
The Chrismans moved from Pleasanton, Texas to Brownwood, which is Gina’s hometown.
Officer Chrisman has been in law enforcement for over 13 years. Corley stated that he was glad to have him on the force.
“We are lucky to have Paul, he is a great officer, we are blessed as a community to have him here,” said Corley.
Mayor Steven Haynes welcomed Chrisman and thanked him for serving the Brownwood community.
“Thank you for your service to our community,” said Haynes. “I know I speak for all of the council when I say you are in our prayers, for your safety and well being.”
