Two recently promoted Brownwood police officers and two new police officers were given the Oath of Office and Law Enforcement Oath of Honor at Tuesday’s Brownwood city council meeting.
Newly promoted officers to the rank of Corporal are Zane Taylor and Brandon Johnson. New officers added to the BPD force are Brian Rice and Kayla Moore.
Following the oaths, each officer had their badges ceremonially pinned to their uniforms.Brownwood Mayor Stephen Hayne thanked the officers for their service after the ceremony.
“We appreciate your service, you are in our thoughts and prayers,” said Haynes. “Know that we will never overlook your public service.”
Chief of Police Mike Corley also lauded the officers stating that they are the future of the Brownwood Police Department.
