Brownwood News – According to a recent release from the Brownwood Police Department, on Wednesday, August 29th, at approximately 5 a.m., Brownwood officers were dispatched to a residence on Greenway Drive regarding a suspicious call.
When officers arrived, they contacted a homeowner in the area who stated that he observed a nude Hispanic male hanging halfway out of his bathroom window. The resident retrieved a stick and began striking the male repeatedly until the male was able to free himself from the window. The resident then chased the nude male across the road through the neighborhood until he lost sight of him in the area of Southside Drive, one block away.
Several minutes later, another homeowner on Southside Drive phoned 911 to report a nude male at her residence. Officers arrived in that area and eventually observed the nude male running southbound; across Good Shepherd Drive. Officers lost sight of the male in the area of the Casa Grande Apartments but later observed him hiding under a vehicle in an adjacent parking lot. The male was detained and identified as 42 year old Mario Narro, of Brady Texas.
Investigation of this incident determined that Narro entered onto the property or inside a residence on four separate occasions and sustained numerous scrapes and large lacerations from this run. He further appeared to be under the influence of some type of narcotic. Narro was transported to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center for treatment, then arrested for three counts of Burglary of a Habitation.
The investigation remains ongoing and more charges are possible as new information becomes available.
