Brownwood News – The following calls for service were answered in recent days by the Brownwood Police Department and included on the Offense and Incident Report released to the media.
On Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at approximately 1:24 hours, two Officers were dispatched to a south Brownwood address regarding a suicide attempt in the 2400 block of 10th Street. Upon arrival an investigation and an arrest were completed.
On Wednesday 8/21/19 at 12:25 hrs, while on duty at 2100 Slayden (Brownwood High School) – a suspect was requested to leave the campus by the principal and refused to the leave the property. After multiple requests to leave, he was taken into custody for criminal trespassing. The person arrested was taken to the Brown County Jail, processed and released to the jail staff.
On Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at approximately 1500 hours, Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to a north Brownwood address in the 1500 block of Main Street in reference to a theft of a vehicle. A report was generated for this incident.
On Wednesday August 21, 2019 at approximately 22:09 hours, an Officer responded to 1050 West Commerce, Brown County Law Enforcement Center. The officer was dispatched to the police department in reference to an assault.
On Thursday August 22, 2019, at approximately 01:00 hours, officers were dispatched to the 500 block of E. Commerce for a report of family violence. An investigation was conducted and the female party was placed under arrest. The female was transported to the Brown County Jail without incident.
