Brownwood News – The following calls for service were responded to by the Brownwood Police Department in recent days:
On Friday 8/2/2019 Officers were dispatched to 1700 block of 11th St. for a dog at large. A verbal warning was issued.
On August 5th, 2019 at approximately 1815 hours, Officers with the Brownwood Police Department responded to the 1800 block of Avenue B in reference to a Disturbance. During the investigation one was arrested for Public Intoxication and transported to the Brown County Jail.
On 8/05/2019 at 1900 hours, Officers were dispatched to the 400 Blk. of W. Commerce. Two people were issued citations for theft of property <$100.
On Monday, August 5, 2019 Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to a South Brownwood residence in the 1900 block of Avenue B for a disorderly conduct report. The complainant wanted to file a complaint on her neighbor. Information was gathered and a report has been generated.
On Monday, August 5, 2019 at approximately 1437 hours, an Officer was dispatched to the Brownwood Police Department for a theft report. Information was gathered and a report has been generated.
On Monday, August 5, 2019, at approximately 1600 Hrs, an Officer was dispatched to a South Brownwood residence in the 2000 block of Brady Avenue in reference to a possible hit and run. During this investigation, it was discovered that the damage done to the vehicle wasn’t consistent with an accident. A report for Criminal Mischief was generated and completed.
BWPD officers were dispatched to lewd behavior at a local business in the 3400 Block of US 377 South. Officers arrived and spoke with witnesses. A suspect was identified and was interviewed. A report was generated and filed with the court.
On 8/6/2019 at approximately 1400 hours, Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of West Austin for a call of suspicious. Police made a report of child endangerment.
