Brownwood News – The following calls for service were included on the Offense and Incident Report from the Brownwood Police Department.

On July 15, 2019, at 11:16 hours, Brownwood Police were dispatched to 401 W. Commerce (Wal-Mart Supercenter) in reference to a theft that had occurred during the overnight hours.

On Tuesday July 16, 2019 officers were dispatched to a phone call only report of family violence. When speaking to the reporting party officers were made aware of an incident that allegedly took place the previous night. Information was gathered from the reporting party via telephone due to the reporting party not wanting to talk with officers in person.

On Tuesday July 16, 2019 at approximately 11:13 hours, an officer arrived at 1050 West Commerce, the LEC. The officer was dispatched to the address in reference to a call of theft.

On 07/16/2019 at approximately 11:58 hours, Brownwood Police Department Detectives responded to the 1600 block of Phillips Boulevard in reference to a follow up. While conducting the follow up, it was discovered that the male party had violated an emergency protective order. The male subject was arrested for Violation of Protective Order.

On Tuesday, July 16, 2019, Officers responded to the intersection of Main Street and W. Adams Street in reference to male subject lying in the road. After speaking with the male, he was released to the resident he was staying with in the 300 block of W. Adams Street. Shortly after Officers left, the male subject was found walking at the intersection of Vine Street and Avenue A,  The man was taken into custody for public intoxication, and transported to Brown County Jail.
