Brownwood News – The Brownwood Police Department responded to the following calls for service.

On 03/09/2020 Brownwood officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Magnolia St. in reference to a domestic disturbance. A report has been generated.

On Thursday, 3/5/2020, the Brownwood Police Department received a call in reference to animal cruelty. Police made contact with the owner of the animal and a report was taken.

On Monday, March 9, 2020, the Brownwood Police Department performed a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 1400 block of Austin Avenue. During the traffic stop, a quantity of marijuana, and ‘marijuana wax’ (tetrahydrocannabinol) were recovered. At the conclusion of the traffic stop/investigation, a man was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana<2OZ.  Another man was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana<2OZ, and possession of a controlled substance PG2<1 G (tetrahydrocannabinol).

On Monday, March 9, 2020, at approximately 17:45 hours, Officer Donahoo was notified of a call in reference to a hit and run. Officer made contact with the victim in the 400 Block of West Commerce where the incident occurred. A report was completed.

On Monday, March 9, 2020, at approximately 19:45 hours, Officer Donahoo was dispatched to the 3800 block of 2nd Street in reference to an assault. A report was taken.

 

On 03/09/2020, at approximately 22:31 Hours, Brownwood Police were dispatched to the LEC in reference to a terroristic threat call. Upon arrival, information was gathered and an incident report was made.

On Monday, March 9, 2020, Officers responded to the 400 block of Main Street in reference to an assault. After speaking to parties involved, a report was generated.

On Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at approximately 17:47 hours, Officer Donahoo was dispatched to the 3800 block of 2nd Street in reference to an assault. An arrest was made.

On Tuesday, March 10, 2020, Officers responded to the 2700 block of Grey Fox in reference to a house that had been vandalized. After processing the scene and speaking to the homeowner, a report was generated.

On Tuesday, March 10, 2020, Officers responded to the 3300 block of Second Street in reference to stolen property. After speaking to the reporting party, a report was generated.
