Brownwood News – The following calls for service have been answered in recent days by officers of the Brownwood Police Department.

On Thursday, January 30, 2020, at approximately 14:39 Hours, Officer Bowman was contacted by dispatch about a subject wanting a phone call in reference to a Theft.  Officer Bowman was able to make contact and spoke with the complainant. The complainant informed that he had an ex-employee who had stolen a bag and some construction tools. The complainant advised that he wished to pursue charges. A report was generated and completed.

On Wednesday, January 30, 2020 at approximately 23:16 hours, Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to a south Brownwood address in the 1600 block of 7th Street in reference to a Robbery.

On 2/3/2020 Officer Higgins was Dispatched to BRMC for dog bite.

On Monday, February 3, 2020 Brownwood Police were dispatched to a south Brownwood residence in the 4200 block of U.S. Highway 377 for a harassment report. Information was gathered and a report has been generated.

On 02/03/2020 at approximately 16:00 hours Brownwood Police were dispatched to 1500 block Terrace Drive for a call of suspicious. Brownwood Police made a report for driving while intoxicated.

On Tuesday, February 04, 2020 at approximately 18:34 hours, Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to a south Brownwood address in the 800 block of Brookhollow in reference to Pornography. A report was generated for this incident.

On 2-4-20 at approximately 20:11 hours, a Brownwood Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 4400 Blk of S US 377. During the stop, the male driver was arrested for an outstanding warrant. During the investigation, property was also recovered from a recent vehicle burglary.  The man was additionally charged with Burglary of a Vehicle and Fraudulent Use or Possession of Identifying Information.  He was transported to the Brown County Jail.

On 2/5/2020 at 02:00 hours, Officers were dispatched to the 3500 Block. of 1st St. in reference to a domestic disturbance.  A woman was arrested for assault family violence.

On Monday, February 3, at approximately 20:12 hours, Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to a north Brownwood address in the 1500 block of Terrace Drive in reference to Criminal Mischief. A report was generated for this incident.

On 2-4-19 at approximately 00:48 hours, BPD Officers made contact with the occupants of a suspicious vehicle in the 2700 Block of Cleburne St. During the investigation, a woman was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
