Brownwood News -The Brownwood Police Department has responded to the following calls in recent days.

On Saturday, October 26, 2019 at approximately 08:01 hours, Officer Weaver was dispatched to 2100 block of Calvert Rd in reference to a domestic disturbance. Officer Weaver arrived on scene and spoke with the involved parties. A report has been made.

On Monday, October 28, 2019 at approximately 14:54 hours, Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to a south Brownwood address, 200 block of 10th Street, in reference to a reckless driver. A male subject was arrested at the scene and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Driving While Intoxicated, and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.

On 10/29/2019 Officer Jordan was dispatched to the 1700 block of 7th St. for white and a black and tan dog running at large. Citation issued.

On 10/29/2019 at 13:00 hours, Officer Adams was dispatched to the 4200 Blk. of S US 377 in reference to a burglary. A report was taken to be passed on for further investigation.

On 10/29/2019 at 16:00 hours, Officer Adams was dispatched to the 3800 Blk. of 2nd St. in reference to drugs/ narcotics. A report was taken to be passed on for further investigation.

On 10/29/2019 at approximately 22:00 hours, Brownwood Officer Wells was dispatched to the 1500 block of Dublin Street for a call of assault that occurred on 10/26/2019. Brownwood Police made a report for an assault.

On Thursday 10/10/19 at 08:40 hours, while on duty Officer Bastardo was contacted by Coggin Intermediate School Principal, in reference to a teacher, who wished to report that her crediUdebit cards had been stolen and used to purchase an online transaction and she wished to file a report. An investigation began and a suspect identified.

On Tuesday 10/15/19 at 12:08 hours, while on duty at Brownwood High School Officer Bastardo was approached by Complainant in the resource office of the campus.  Complainant stated that she needed to speak to me and the Principal, in reference to her daughter.  An investigation began at the request of complainant and suspect named.

Brownwood Police responded to the City Landfill in reference to a City vehicle being damaged. Information was obtained and this report was generated. Evidence was also collected and turned over to CID for further investigations.

On October 25, 2019 at approximately 18:25 hours, Officers with Brownwood PD were dispatched to the 1700 block of Magnolia, in reference to Child Protective Services performing a welfare check on two children present in the home, and no adult. A report was taken.

On Friday October 25, 2019 at approximately 23:00 hours, officers were dispatched to the 200 block of East Commerce in reference to a hit and run. Information was gathered and a report was generated.

On Saturday October 26, 2019, officers performed a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Belle Plain Street. The driver of the vehicle was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. The driver was transported and released to the Brown County Jail without incident.

While on patrol on October 26, 2019, at approximately 13:40 hours, Officers were dispatched to the 3800 block of South US 377 in reference to Burglary. Upon arrival, officers located a female suspect who admitted to entering vehicles and obtaining property without the effective consent of the owners. The suspect was arrested and a report was made.

On Saturday, October 26, 2019, Officers took a walk-in referencing the theft of a cell phone. After talking to the owner of the phone a report was generated.

On October 27, 2019 at approximately 02:35 hours Officers with Brownwood PD responded to a stolen vehicle at the 700 block of Ave D. A report was made in reference to this and the vehicle was entered into the NCIC/TCIC database. A possible suspect was named.
