Brownwood News – The following calls for service have been responded to in the past week by the Brownwood Police Department.

On 08/14/19, Brownwood PD was dispatched to a north Brownwood address in the 500 block of West Commerce in regards to a window being broken, which resulted with a report being generated.

An officer conducted a traffic stop on a black pickup at approximately 2333 hours located at a south Brownwood address in the 1800 block of 7th Street. After a full investigation the driver was arrested for DWI.

On 8/15/2019, at approximately 2100 hours, Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of 7th Street for a call of domestic violence. Police made a report for domestic violence and criminal mischief.

On Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at approximately 2029 Hrs, an Officer was dispatched to a North Brownwood residence in the 900 block of Beaver Street in reference to Criminal Mischief. Upon arrival, the Officer met with the complainant who advised that a female subject came to his location over an incident that occurred several days ago. While there, the female began yelling at the complainant eventually throwing a wooden block and a water bottle at the complainant’s vehicle causing damage. The complainant advised that he wished to file charges against the female. A report was generated and completed.

On Monday, August 12, 2019 at approximately 0657 hours, an Officer was dispatched to the 4600 block of 4th St in reference to criminal mischief. The Officer arrived on scene and spoke with the complainant in regards to the incident. A report has been made.

On Tuesday, August 13, 2019, Officers responded to the 2500 block of Elizabeth Drive in reference to damage on a vehicle. After speaking to the complainant, and processing the vehicle, a report was generated.

On 812/2019 a citation was issued to a woman for unrestrained dog and unvaccinated dog in the 3000 block of Milam Drive.

On Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at approximately 1400 hours, Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to a south Brownwood address in the 1500 block of Avenue H in reference to a theft. A report was generated for this incident.

On August 13, 2019, a Sergeant conducted a probation search at an address in south Brownwood in the 2800 block of Avenue E. This resulted in a report being generated.

On Tuesday August 13, 2019 at approximately 2158 hours, two Officers arrived in the 1500 block of Dublin. Officers were dispatched to the complex in reference to an assault.

On Monday, August 12, 2019 at approximately 1019 hours, an Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of Ave C in reference to a domestic disturbance. The Officer spoke with the involved parties. A report has been made.

On August 12, 2019, a Sergeant was dispatched to the 3900 block of Glenwood Drive in reference to a burglary of a habitation. Upon arrival, the Officer spoke to a female subject who stated she believed someone had been in her house, but had not taken anything. A criminal trespass report was generated.

On Monday August 12, 2019, at approximately 1315, Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center ER for an intoxicated person. A report was generated for this incident.

On Monday August 12, 2019 officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Center Ave for a report of a theft. Information was gathered from the scene and a report was generated.

On 8/12/19, at approximately 1919 hrs, an Officer was dispatched to south Brownwood residence in the 3800 block of 2nd Street in reference to theft. A report was generated at the complainant’s request.

On August 12, 2019, the Brownwood Police Department performed a consensual encounter on two individuals in the 1000 block of W Commerce Street, in order to conduct a follow up investigation. During the encounter, a small quantity of methamphetamine was recovered from one of the individuals. At the conclusion of the encounter, one of the individuals was arrested and charged with the possession of a controlled substance.

On Monday August 5, 2019 Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to the Brownwood Police Department for a walk in report for theft. Information was gathered and a report has been generated.

On Wednesday August 7, 2019 officers were dispatched to the 2600 block of Crockett for a possible domestic disturbance. When officers arrived hospital staff directed officers to the room of the victim. Information was gathered on scene and a report was generated.

On Thursday, August 8, 2019, Officers responded to the 2600 block of Crockett Drive (BRMC) in reference to an assault. After speaking to involved parties, a report was generated.

On Thursday, August 8, 2019 at approximately 1522 hours, an Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of W Commerce St in reference to a theft. The Officer arrived on scene and an investigation was conducted. A citation was issued and a report has been made.

On Thursday, August 8, 2019, officers were dispatched to a walk-in report of a theft. A phone call was placed to the reporting party due to him leaving. Information was gathered from the reporting party and a report was generated.

On August 8, 2019, the Brownwood Police Department performed a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 1400 block of 12th Street. During the traffic stop, a small quantity of methamphetamine and two firearms were recovered from one of the occupants in the vehicle. At the conclusion of the traffic stop investigation, a man was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone and unlawful carrying a weapon.

On August 8, 2019, at 2030 hours, Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of Durham in reference to a domestic disturbance. This call led to the arrest of a female for Assault w/ Injury – Family Violence.

On Friday, August 9, 2019, officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive for a report of a domestic violence. Information was gathered on scene and a report was generated.

On August 9, 2019, at 0157 hours, a Brownwood PD officer was dispatched to the intersection of Austin Avenue and Magnolia Street in reference to a vehicle crash involving a building. This call led to the arrest of a female for Driving While Intoxicated.

On 08/09/2019, Brownwood PD was dispatched to a south Brownwood address in the 2300 block of Carriage Lane in regards to items being taken from outside a residence, which resulted with a report being generated for theft.

On August 8th, 2019 at approximately 1330 hours Officers with the Brownwood Police Department were called to the corner of Center Avenue and E Baker Street in reference to a Welfare Check. Upon further investigation, a man was arrested for Public Intoxication with 3 Previous Convictions.

On August 9th, 2019 at approximately 1534 hours Officers with the Brownwood Police Department responded to a Walk in at the LEC in reference to a Terroristic Threat. A report for this incident was generated.

On August 9th, 2019 at approximately 1631 hours Officers with the Brownwood Police Department responded to a Walk In at the LEC in reference to Violation of a Protective Order. A report was generated for this incident.

On 8/10/2019 at approximately 1700 hours, Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2800 block of Cleburne Street for a call of theft. Police made a report for theft.

On 8/10/2019 at approximately 2100 hours, Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Magnolia Street for a call of theft. Police made report for theft.

On Sunday, August 11, 2019, at approximately 0328 Hrs, while an Officer was patrolling on a South Brownwood residential area at 4th and Avenue H, the Officer observed two (2) young juvenile males running across the street. The Officer made contact with the two (2) juveniles due to the amount of burglaries that have occurred in the area. While speaking with one of the juvenile males, the Officer reports smell a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his person. The Officer also discovered that the juvenile male was a reported runaway. The juvenile male was detained and transported to the PD where he was released to the care of a legal guardian and issued a citation of Consumption of Alcohol by Minor. A report was generated and completed.

On 8/11/2019 at approximately 0400 hours, Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2000 block of Brady Avenue for a call of assault. Police made a report for assault.

On Sunday, August 11, 2019, at approximately 0509 Hrs, an Officer was dispatched to a South Brownwood address in the 2500 block of Avenue C in reference to a Domestic Disturbance. The Officer met with the suspect out front of his residence. The Officer went inside and met with the victim who stated that she and her husband had been in an argument that turned physical. During this investigation it was determined that Assault FV Offensive Touch had occurred. A Report was generated and completed.

On 08/11/19, Brownwood PD was dispatched to a south Brownwood address in the 2800 block of Coggin in regards to bicycle’s being taken from a residence, which resulted with a report being generated for theft.

On August 11th, 2019 at approximately 1420 hours Officers with the Brownwood Police Department responded to the 400 block of W Commerce in reference to a Theft of Property. A report was generated for this incident.

On Sunday August 11th, 2019 at approximately 1550 hours Officers with the Brownwood Police Department responded to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive, in reference to a Theft of Property. A report was generated for this incident.

On 8-11-19 at approximately 1606 hrs, a Brownwood Police Officer was dispatched to 403 W Commerce St (Murphy USA) in reference to theft. A report was generated.
