Tuesday, September 11th

  • 4:00 p.m. A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy took a report for a dog bite at a residence on CR 551 that resulted in injury to one dog. Both owners were contacted, a report was made, and follow up investigation will continue.

Wednesday, September 12th

  • 5:45 p.m. Brownwood Police was dispatched to the 400 block of Mulberry St. in reference to a hit and run. An officer spoke with the complainant in regards to the incident. A report has been generated.

Friday, September 14th

  • 9:40 a.m. A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to an Illegal Dumping at CR 105 at Thrifty Park. An Investigation was done with a suspect being identified. A Citation was issued and a report was completed.
  • 8:43 p.m. A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to Lakeshore Dr in May, Texas. This was in regards to subjects trespassing on his property. Criminal Trespass Warnings were issued. A report was made.
  • On 09/14/2018, deputies were dispatched to an address on Jane Ellen Street in regards to assault. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with a woman, who stated that a man had started hitting her while she was asleep on the couch. The woman was inconsistent and unsure about events when asked for details. The details she was able to give did not appear to be consistent with scene. The woman also had scratches on her, which appeared to be self inflicted. After investigation it was determined the woman was the aggressor and was placed in custody for hitting the man in the face.

Saturday, September 15

  • Sheriffs units were dispatched to an address on Main in reference to a disorderly conduct report and investigation.  They spoke with the complainant, who advised her father had threatened to burn down her trailer and shoot holes in the trailer.  A report will follow.
  • 12:45 p.m. A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy arrived at Dorothy Ln in regards to criminal mischief. The deputy spoke to a woman who stated someone had run over her trash, can spilling her trash.
  • 8:50 p.m. A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy followed up on an investigation regarding a Criminal Trespass Warning. A Criminal Trespass Warning was issued and a report was made.

Sunday, September 16th

  • Brownwood Police was informed of a person trespassing in the 400 block of W. Commerce. A report was generated.
  • 11:14 a.m. A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to 1050 W. Commerce at the Law Enforcement Center on a found property call. A report was made and the property recovered.

Monday, September 17

  • 12:30 p.m. Brownwood Police Officers responded to the 2600 block of Temple Avenue in regards to an assault call. A female was arrested and the assault was documented.
  • 8:30 p.m. A Brownwood Police officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of Riverside Drive in reference to public intoxication. This call led to the arrest of a male for Public Intoxication.
  • 7:50 p.m. Brownwood Police Department responded to the 1500 block of 2nd Street, in reference to an animal bite. A report was generated for this incident.
