Tuesday, July 31st
- (No time noted) A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to Brownwood Regional Medical Center in regards to a dog bite. The complainant explained her dog had bit her.
Wednesday, August 1st
- 8:16 a.m. A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to CR 334, in Early, in regards to a burglary. Upon arrival, contact was made with the complainant who stated an unknown person broke into his house and took his television. A report was taken.
- 8:25 a.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of Center Avenue in reference to a scam.
- 1:23 p.m. Brownwood Police were dispatched to an address in north Brownwood in reference to at theft. The complainant stated her medication had been stolen from her residence.
- 3:18 p.m. Brownwood Police were called regarding a suspicious male in a vehicle parked near a business in the 1500 block of Austin Avenue. When officers arrived, the subject, identified as 39 year old Elvin Hogue, of Cisco, was found to have two outstanding Eastland County warrants for his arrest. In addition to being charged with the warrants, Hogue was also charged with the Possession and/or Use of an Abusable Volatile Chemical. Elvin Hogue was booked into the Brown County Jail and held in lieu of bonds totaling $17,000.
- 7:00 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to the 1800 block of Main Boulevard to serve an arrest warrant. Subjects and a juvenile were arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
- 10:40 p.m. Brownwood Police responded to an accident near the 2200 block of Brady Avenue. Officers arrived to find an intoxicated subject, identified as 24 year old Emilio Albert Rangel, of Brownwood. Rangel was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Second Offense.
- (No time noted) A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to CR 180 in reference to Harassment. The complainant advised his son’s ex-girlfriend was on the property and refusing to leave. Deputies made contact with the suspect who was sitting inside the son’s current residence. The suspect was asked to leave several times by deputies and the complainant, but refused. The ex-girlfriend was then placed under arrest for Criminal Trespass – Habitation, and a report was made.
