Brownwood News – The following calls for service have been responded to in recent days by the Brownwood Police Department and Brown County Sheriff’s Department.

 

BROWNWOOD POLICE

On 11/16/2019, at approximately 20:00 hours, Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce for a theft call. Brownwood Police made a report for theft.

On 11/20/2019, Brownwood officers were dispatched to the 4200 block of S. US 377 in regards to criminal mischief. A report has been generated.

On 11-20-19 Brownwood Police Officers received information from communications that officers in Eastland County, Texas were requesting assistance in apprehending Robert Riley who had active warrants out of Eastland County for his arrest. Riley was located by Brownwood PD Officers and immediately fled on foot. After a brief pursuit, Riley was apprehended and charged with Evading Arrest or Detention as well as his active warrants. Riley was transported to the Brown County Jail.

On November 14, 2019, at approximately 16:31 hours, Officers with Brownwood PD were on a follow up around the 100 block of E. Lee. A report was generated in reference to this.

On November 18, 2019 Officers with Brownwood PD responded to a Burglary of a Vehicle around the 600 Block of Roanoke Ave. A report was generated in reference to this call.

On Tuesday, November 19, 2019, officers were dispatched to the 2500 block of Durham Ave in reference to a theft. Information was gathered from the scene and a report was generated.

On Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at approximately 08:12 hours, an Officer was dispatched to the 2300 block of Vine St in reference to a hit and run. Officer arrived on scene and spoke with the complainant in regards to the incident. A report has been made.

On November 19,2019 at approximately 10:10 hours, Officers with Brownwood PD responded to the Law Enforcement Center (1050 W. Commerce) in reference to a Fraud call. A report was generated for this call.

On Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at approximately 14:27 hours, an Officer was dispatched to the 2200 block of Brady Ave in reference to a burglary.Officer  arrived on scene and spoke with the complainant in regards to the incident. A report has been made.

On Tuesday November 19, 2019 officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Bailey Street in reference to a criminal mischief that occurred in the 400 block of West Commerce on November 18, 2019. Information was gathered on scene from the reporting party and a report was generated.

On Tuesday, November 19, 2019, Officer Donahoo and FTO Tidwell responded to the 3800 block of 2nd Street at approximately 18:50 hours in reference to an assault. An investigation was completed and an arrest was made for Aggravated Assault on a Family Member.

On November 15, 2019, Officer responded to Woodland Heights Elementary School in reference to domestic violence.

On November 18, 2019 at approximately 06:50 hours officers with Brownwood PD responded a domestic disturbance around the 4000 block of South US-377. A report was generated in reference to this call.

On Monday, November 18, 2019, Officers responded to the 500 block of W. Commerce in reference to stolen construction equipment. After speaking to the owner of the stolen items, a report was generated.

On Monday, November 18, 2019 at approximately 15:12 hours, Officer was dispatched to 1050 W Commerce St in reference to theft of a motor vehicle. Officer arrived on scene and spoke with the complainant in regards to the incident. A report has been made.

BROWN COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT

On November 18, 2019, Deputy Hammonds took a report of an illegal dumping on County Road 267/County Road 268.

On November 19, 2019, Deputy Smoot responded to County Road 551 for a Criminal Mischief involving tires being slashed.  The Deputy made contact with the complainant and gathered pertinent details to the incident.  A report was made and sent for further investigation.
