Cloy & Jeannie Williams are asking the community to pray for their son, Petty Officer First Class Cody Williams, United States Navy.  Cody was injured when the Humvee he was riding in was hit by an IED while deployed to Afghanistan.  He has shrapnel wounds to his legs and back; 3 crushed discs, compressed spine and other injuries to his back.

Cloy said they were told Cody was able to move a toe this afternoon so they are praying this is a good sign.  Cody is currently in German until they can get him stable and he will be moved to a hospital in Virginia or San Diego.

Cody graduated from Brownwood High School 2004 and joined the Navy after graduation.  He served two tours in Iraq prior to deployment to Afghanistan.

Plans are underway to gather cards of support from the community for Cody when he is once again stateside.  More details will be forthcoming on this effort.
