The Brownwood Lions presented their Homecoming Court during halftime Friday night in their game against Graham.
Courtnee Pool was named Homecoming Queen during the ceremony.
Courtnee Pool is the daughter of John and Shannon Pool. She plans to attend Texas A & M University and major in Veterinary Medicine and minor in French.
Courtnee is in the National Honor Society, Key Club, Theater Production, the French Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Lion Crew. She is also a member of the Coggin Avenue Baptist Youth Group.
Courtnee’s awards include the Letter Award for BCIS1, French 1 and French 2.
She is in the top 10% of the Senior Class and will graduate Magna Cum Laude in May.
The other nominees for Homecoming Queen were:
Julie Kennedy, daughter of Judy Kennedy and the late Walter Kennedy. She is escorted by her mother Judy and her oldest brother Matthew Kennedy. Her future plans are to play college volleyball. She plans to become a physical therapist and to use her physical therapy degree to work with children.
Julie is involved in many activities at Brownwood High School–The Choices program, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Track, Volleyball, and FFA.
Julie has received numerous awards in volleyball. She has been named 1st team all-district and 1st team all-region. She has been selected to the all-region tournament team and all-state tournament team. She was named the “Sonic High School Athlete of the Week” October 9, 2009.

Chloe Geye is the daughter of Terry and Gretchin Geye. She has been accepted to Texas A & M University and plans to major in Animal Science, with an emphasis on cattle or wildlife embryology and genetics.
Chloe is involved in many activities at Brownwood High School: Varsity Volleyball for the past 3 years, Area IV FFA Vice-President, Brownwood FFA Vice-President, National Honor Society Secretary. She is a member of the Choices program, 4-H Beef Club, Texas Jr. Livestock Association., Texas Cattlewomen’s Associations, and First United Methodist Church in Brownwood.
Chloe’s awards include Volleyball: 2nd team all district, member of 2008 Class 3A State Runner up team; FFA: State Finalist in Star Lone Star Production, Member of 3rd place State FFA Livestock Judging Team; 4-H: Gold Star Award, Danforth Award, Numerous Grand and Reserve Champion steers and hogs since she started showing them at 9 years-old.
Academically she is a Magna Cum Laude Scholar.

Tiffany Cervera is the daughter of Hector Cervera and Natalie Cervera. She plans to attend the University of Texas where she will major in Biology. Tiffany would like to be a pediatrician and work at St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
Tiffany has been involved in all areas of Brownwood High School, including National Honor Society, the Choices program, Spanish Club, Students Against Destructive Decisions, and Brownwood Lion Crew. She also serves on the Teen Board at Heartland Mall, and is a member of the Coggin Avenue Baptist Youth Group.
Tiffany is graduating in the top 10% of her class and is a Cum Laude Scholar.

Shylah Cutbirth is the daughter of Kyle Cutbirth and Tracy Collette. She plans to attend Baylor University and study elementary education, allowing God to direct the future.
Shylah is involved in numerous activities at Brownwood High School. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the Choices program. She is involved with the Coggin Avenue Baptist Youth group and the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Shylah’s awards include Jr. Rotarian of the Month for October and she is a State Goodwill Ambassador for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. She will graduate Magna Cum Laude in May, and will already have earned 28 college credit hours.
