Monday night the Lady Cubs 8th grade “A” volleyball team played well to defeat the Snyder Tigers.
The Lady Cubs were very impressive in the first game winning 25-12. Brownwood bump set hit everything Snyder threw at them. Aspen Escimilla and Alyson Finnigan served 13 of the 25 points. In game 2, the Lady Cubs fell short losing 22-25. In game 3, Snyder matched Brownwood point for point in the beginning. When the game was tied at 11, Aspen Escamilla served 9 stright points and the Lady Cubs finished the match with a 25-17 win.
The top scorers for the night were Aspen Escamilla with 17 points and Alyson Finnigan with 10 points and 1 ace. also scoring wa Shelby Honea with 5 points and 1 ace, Naomi Rosatto with 4 points, Abby Day 3 points and 1 ace, Madeline Reigle and Brittany Everett 1 point each.
The Lady Cubs had a great night at the net. Shelby Honea lead all hitter with 4 kills. lexi Ratliff had 3 kills, Naoimi Rosatto, Abby Day and Madeline Reigle had 2 kills each and Alyson Finnigan finished with 1 kill.
The Lady Cubs will be in action again on Monday in cub gym at 6pm.
