Brownwood News – On Wednesday, December 4, the Brownwood Middle School (BMS) theatre students competed in the 2019 UIL District One-Act Play Competition with their performance of “Lafayette No.1” directed by theatre teachers, Brittany Martin and Jen Evetts. They competed with five other school districts for the title of District One-Act Play Champions.
“We are proud to announce that they came home with the first place play and several other awards,” said Shannon Lee, who heads up the Theatre department. “Their directors, school and district are so proud of their accomplishments.”
The BMS One-Act company members include: Marisol Rodriguez, Morgan Phipps, Evan Fraze, Emma Hall, Emma Lee, Dasia Hall, Easton Judkins, Alden Cecil, Kamryn Williams, Alleson Jameson, Claire Meinecke, Cody Trowbridge, Amelia Valdez Pena, Langston Barnes, Sloan Rodriquez, Rayven Skidmore, Jazzmyn Sanchez, Angela Dunlap, Abbey Grammer, Zoe Sweetman, Aden Casey, and Kylee Cole Sharp.
