Brownwood Middle School held an induction ceremony for new members of the National Junior Honor Society on Monday, April 6th. BMS NJHS Advisor, Jen Williams, provided a welcome to the special event that took place in Lehrer Gymnasium at Brownwood Middle School.
A total of 80 new members were inducted during the ceremony which featured local radio personality, Ben Cox, as the guest speaker.Ms. Willams introduced the criteria for selection, which was further explained by current BMS National Junior Honor Society members and officers, Alex Fowler, Alyssa Newman (Secretary), Braden Jetton (President), Tim Crawford (Vice President), and Piper Barberie (Treasurer). The criteria included scholarship, leadership, service, and character.
Following the introduction of the new members and the honor society pledge, led by Jetton, Brownwood Middle School principal, Bryan Allen addressed the group with encouraging closing remarks.
