Brownwood Middle School held an induction ceremony for new members of the National Junior Honor Society on Monday, April 4th. A total of 16 new 8th grade members and 72 new 7th grade members were inducted during the ceremony which featured Brownwood ISD Superintendent, Dr. Joe Young, as the guest speaker.
BMS Teacher and Chapter Advisor, Jen Willams introduced the criteria for selection, which was further explained by current BMS National Junior Honor Society members, Caden Reagan, Shelby Wilson (Chapter Vice President), Kyler Judkins (Chapter President), Alyssa Salazar (Chapter Secretary), and Jay Monson (Chapter Treasurer). The criteria by which National Junior Honor Society members are selected includes encouraging and maintaining high standards in scholarship, service, leadership, citizenship and character.Listed below are the BMS students that were inducted into the National Junior Honor Society during the ceremony:
