Brownwood Middle School Honors Top Students

Monday morning, Brownwood Middle School honored their 8^th grade students.

President’s Award for Educational Excellence (Gold:  Students must have 90 or above grade average all of 7^th grade year and first semester of 8^th Grade)  & Presidential Academic Acheivement Award(Silver:   Nominated for TAKS scores, attendance, educational growth, fine arts, and accomplishments in the face of adversity) were awarded.  These winners receive a letter from President Obama, a certificate and a plaque.

Gold recipients were:  Isabela Avalos, Faith Bailey, Noel Barber, Garrett Barnum, Alex Bernal, Julie Bernal, Sheyanne Cole, Jared Crouch, Shelby Chrysler, Stephen Darneal, Cheyenne Dodd, Taelor Eagloski, Lexi Farar, Emerald Fernandez, Alexis Garcia, Matthew Gomez, Victoria Hood, Haley Lawson, Matthew Lewis, Sarah Marr, Shelby McKillip, Sierra Mendez, Brandon Muenzler, Katelyn Murphy, Justin Osteen, Seth Owen, Matthew Pickard, Megan Pointer, Zach Ramos, Leigheanna Rittiner, Jordan Robbins, Justin Robinson, Naomi Rosato, Kenny Soto, Kristen Stanke, Chandler Staton, Adam Tipton, Connor Vara, Daniel Venegas, Cheyenne White.

Top Team Player: Award is based on attendance, leadership, trustworthiness, service to others and citizenship.  These winners receive a plaque.  Recipients were:  Alex Bernal, Garrett Barnum, Lauren Peterson, and Keagan Torres.

Michael Dowe Most Outstanding Award: Cole Pennington and Victoria Hood

Merit “B” Awards were given to many students who excelled in each subject .

UIL  Awards were also given during the assembly with students receiving ribbons and medals.
